  • Binoculars if you want

  • An array of at least 8 colors plus white - acrylics or watercolors preferred, but colored pencils are good, too. A good choice would be the small bottles of Golden Fluid acrylics. (n.b. avoid "High Flow" acrylics for this class)

    • Recommended colors:

    • ultramarine blue

    • cadmium red medium hue, or pyrrole red, or naphthol red light

    • hansa yellow, or cadmium yellow light

    • yellow ochre

    • quinacridone magenta

    • dioxazine purple

    • raw umber

    • bone black

    • titanium white

    • Additional colors:

    • phthalo blue (green shade)

    • cerulean blue

    • burnt sienna

      • Feel free to add colors

  • HB pencil (a normal #2 writing pencil) and an eraser

  • Micron pens, "05" black or sepia, or other drawing pens you like

  • Brushes - #1, #4, # 6 round, synthetic water media brushes, any others you like

  • sketch pad - 11 X 14-ish

  • For water media - also bring a pad or block of watercolor paper 11 X 14-ish (cold pressed or hot pressed, not rough)
